FOOTHILLS BOBSLEIGH

Club Membership

Memberships within the club are divided into three categories:

 Participating Member ;Active Slider; This membership is designed for those athletes 16 and over who wish to actively take part in sliding during the season at the recreational or competitive level.  Participating members have full voting  priviliges at annual meetings.  Membership for the season  runs from September to September. For active sliders there will be two age groups;Youth 16 to 21 years of age and Adult 22 years of age and up and two sliding categories; Pilot and Brakeman.   Brakeman who become pilots during a season will not have to incur the additional cost of the fee for that season only. The membership fee includes membership to Alberta Bobsleigh and Bobsleigh Canada and insurance as necessary to slide at Canada Olympic park.

 Participating Member ;Coach/Official; This membership is designed for officials and coaches 16 and over who do not actively take part in sliding but contribute to the club through their various functions.  Associate members have full voting privileges at annual meetings/  Membership for the season which runs September to September.   The membership fee includes membership to Alberta Bobsleigh and Bobsleigh Canada and insurance as necessary to volunteer at Canada Olympic park.

 Supporting Associate Member; A supporting associate member 16 and over does not participate in the association as a coach, official or active slider. This membership is set aside for individuals who wish to support the association in other ways but still remain members of the club.  Membership for the season will run September to September.

                                                                                                                                                                                                       * Pilots and brakemen (crew) associated with Bob Canada who do not use or slide in Foothills equipment are subject to the fees as noted above.


Note: Membership forms for Foothills Bobsleigh and Alberta Bobsleigh are ONLY available at the Bob Niven Training center at Canada Olympic Park.  Memberships must be payed either in exact cash or by cheque please!
